9:00AM
Ron Hull and crew prepare the area for the big job ahead.
9:15AM
Ron Hull works with the customer to design the poolscape shape. He paints lines in the dirt to help the customer visualize the poolscape.
9:30AM
The area around the pool is excavated by hand. Preparation is made for the 4″ concrete base. If necessary design changes are made to meet the customer's final approval.
12:00PM
After excavation, forms are set to receive the concrete. Diving board stations are leveled, skimmers are covered and pool edge is cleaned.
12:30PM
Solid steel rebar reinforcements are cut to fit and set along the pool edge to secure the concrete foundation. The area closest to the pool will settle and shift over the next few years so plenty of rebars is used to keep your patio level.
2:00PM
Concrete is poured inside the forms (and over the rebar). We use only the best concrete. Additional steel rebar is then installed across the existing rebar.
2:30PM
The crossing rebar is settled into the cement to crisscross the existing rebar. This will keep the cement from moving up or down. This is crucial to having a maintenance-free poolscape for many years to come.
